Time for Pie!
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Time for Pie is our entry for the theme of summoning for LD55! The idea is to "summon" a recipe by "summoning" ingredients. Life got in the way with this game jam and we couldn't complete as much as we wanted, but we're happy with the outcome! We think it's well suited as the type of game that sells itself on aesthetic rather than unique and original gameplay. See below for restrictions and a play guide.
## Restrictions ##
- Time constraints required we make concessions, as such there are some things required to fully enjoy the game. First, the game is outfitted for a 1920x1080 screen. We chose to forgo optimizing for all screen sizes and catered to the most common.
- Second, the controls are specialized for the xbox controller. TECHNICALLY, it would work for any gamepad, but the icons used are for an xbox controller and using anything different may create a bit of cognitive dissonance.
- Some intricacies of the game were left out of the game itself to save time (instructions, end conditions, etc), so we've opted to include that in the How-to-play below.
- This has only been verified to work on Windows. The HTML5 version is too slow, presumably because it needs to map the xbox controller to the browser. A *.zip file has been included for Mac, but it is untested.
## How-To-Play ##
- Complete the button combos beside each ingredient to add the ingredient to your recipe! Complete a full pie to achieve bonus points.
- Ingredients: 10 points
- Recipe: 120 points
- Each time you complete a button combo for an ingredient it will change.
## Nice to Haves ##
- Too many to list. Missing audio queues, animations, UX, and bonus items (such as whipped cream and ice cream).
- Okay, not too many to list.
Overall, we're happy with the result. We can see it as something that could be a fun puzzle game for friends to compete with each other on. We hope you enjoy it.

Install instructions
Download *.zip file, extract, and either extract LD55_Windows for Windows or LD55_Mac for iOS. I have no idea how to launch an iOS app, but for the Windows zip you'll just extract and run the .exe file.
